The Brokerage was founded in 2014 by husband and wife team Linda Amor and Matt Murphy, joined a few years ago by daughter Lauren Murphy. The model followed several other successful 3% brokerages across Canada.
They had been a top team with a 5% brokerage for well over a decade – but they were denied from lowering their commission. Instead, they had to fork over their seller’s money to the big box company that maintained huge bricks and mortar costs, dozens of part-time agents and international advertising that does nothing to sell your house.

Linda Amor
Broker
Has been a top producer for more than 20 years. She’s a communications expert: a former television producer, and newspaper and magazine editor. With four girls and six grandchildren, she makes sure to always leave time for family, no matter how busy. And this is one busy lady! She somehow also finds time to read a novel a week and romp with her Border Collie Monty and Shepherd Rosie.
Matt Murphy
Broker Of Record
Was the first family member to make the jump into real estate in 2002. He immediately became a top-10 agent for RE/MAX, and then founded Just 3 Percent Realty Inc. with Linda Amor in 2014. Before becoming a Realtor, he ran a number of family businesses. He’s a Trent alumni and met Linda at college in Barrie (41 years together). When not working, he dabbles with his guitars and rumbles with his grandkids.
Lauren Murphy
Sales Representative
Hit the ground running a few years ago and never looked back. She grew up immersed in real estate, so she’s a natural. Other than selling homes, Lauren is a trained actor and singer, with many credits on local stages (4th Line Theatre, Peterborough Theatre Guild, Northumberland Players) and television. Now, she’s a mom too!
